Max Gomez, an acclaimed American singer-songwriter from Taos, New Mexico, is known for his rich blend of folk and Americana, Gomez has drawn comparisons to legends like John Prine and Jackson Browne.
Gomez’s musical journey began in childhood, shaped by the country and blues influences of Big Bill Broonzy and Johnny Cash. After receiving a guitar for Christmas at age 10, he quickly took to performing in local bars throughout New Mexico. His talent caught the attention of folk-rocker Shawn Mullins, leading to a fruitful collaboration that included co-writing songs for Mullins’ albums and touring together across the U.S.
As Gomez prepares to release long-awaited new music, he continues to captivate audiences with his past recordings, including 2013’s Rule The World and his 2017 EP Me & Joe. His heartfelt originals—such as Make It Me, Run From You, and What It Means—alongside moving renditions of classics like Key To The Highway and He Was A Friend Of Mine, showcase his depth as both a songwriter and storyteller.
Over the years, Gomez has worked with a host of musical greats, and in late 2022, he had the honor of opening for several shows on Jeff Beck and Johnny Depp’s North American tour—an experience he describes as both inspiring and unforgettable.
